Something about res that should be changed
So today while doing the Zaishen mission (with no people on the other side, just robots), I realized something: Dead allies on the other side can't be ressed.
WTF is up with that? Here I am fighting with my h/h's and the other ones are all dead and I'm not allowed to res them? Um...they're still allies, and therefore should be able to be ressed. Now I understand if Togo or Mhenlo dies you fail because it's in the objectives to keep them alive. But how can I when we're being overwhelmed by Afflicted and the other team is dead and we can't res them? So yeah, even if they're on the other team, they're still allies so being able to res them should be implemented.

Don't the "rez all allies" spells (light of dwayna, restoration, the terrible ones) get them back up, at any rate rez orbs should work.
Edit: oh wait I was thinking unwaking, there aren't rez orbs in vizunah. Those missions are just missions you almost have to sync with someone you know on the other side, always been that way.

I just see it as another challenge in the mission. If one team isn't good enough (full AI team is), then it's just the players that are bad, not a rez issue.

Maybe so, but the other team was all NPC's, so no player can be blamed for that. Still an issue that needs to change.

Actually - I think you can't rez them because resurrection spells say "target party member".
Resurrection Chant: "Spell. Resurrect target party member with up to your current Health and 5...29...35% Energy. This spell has half the normal range."
Flesh of My Flesh: "Spell. Lose half your Health. Resurrect target party member with your current Health and 5...17...20% Energy."

They don't. Those are limited to party members too.

I agree with this. I've never had a problem with a full AI team on the other side in either mission that does this, in NM or HM with several characters.
Quite frankly, I hate when there's a group of players on the other side; you don't know what to expect from them.

I mastered with a full H/H/H party in HM.
The other party died along the way, and I barely noticed them.
It wasn't hard at all.
But it's true they could add Resurrection orbs in there. Maybe when killing the last boss in each of the 3 ambush spots one could spawn.

it just fustrating to miss masters because you had to carry another team through it that died in the first area but you were able to keep both henchies togo and menhlo and your team up all the way through then have to do the mission again cause you only decided to do it because you wanted masters on it

again in my humble opinion, a rather good idea with the wrong title. but with this comes the question of should we be able to see what skills the allies are equip with? we might rez the wrong player who has no res themself. or we should a "res orb" be included like the one we get in the unwaking waters mission, where dropping the orb will res any allies in the area?

Unless you want to rework resurrection skills, the only way to do that would be a rezorb. You can't rez allies because resurrection skills only work on party members. It's in their description. Target party member.
I'm all for being able to rez the allied team after various extremely frustrating attempts. But the current inability has nothing to do with the game not recognising your allies as, well, allies, or anything - it's just the way the skill is supposed to work. Therefore, rezorb.

I went in with just a dual Discord party, and got only henchmen on the other side. We still were able to beat HM in under 25 minutes, and all 8 henchmen from the other side survived the entire way.

I did it with single discord party. Masters in HM. So yeah. It must be the people.

If they died in the first area, why are you not restarting? Why are you wasting 25 minutes pushing a boulder up a hill, when you could just start over fresh?
Btw, that mission has worked fine for all these years. If it weren't for the Z stuff, no one would even bother going through there ever again. Fixing dead content that is not broken, logic?

add a cutscene after every "sub-area". afaik all cutscenes should resurrect dead party members.

All rez skills are for PARTY members only. Changing this would cause problems with several NPCs that are not required to stay alive for completion. You could allow the NPC to die, then rez it.
Although I understand it can be frustrating in a place like Vizunah, you have to rely on that team to be competent. If they aren't, you try again. Rezing them won't make the mission easier, or allow you to get Masters. It will slow you down.

Shoot, I would rather have AI of the other team then real people any day in vizunna. Reason: you get half way through (if that far) and the other team decided to go AFK and get a free wide. This happened to me several times this past week with the Z-Mission, it got to the point where if they didnt move, i left. No more free rides from me. If the other party cant help, then they can either restart as well, or just take what they can get after coming back and seeing they are still in the mission...
Oh crap /age:you have been in this map for 45 minutes.
No one to blame but themselves.
As for not being able to res AI in the other team, Ive never had a problem with the other team wiping. Just lucky I guess.
